Year-round sunshine, beaches, a healthy environment, cheap (and good) food and wine, a laid-back friendly flexible culture, a great sense of community, excellent healthcare, a lenient tax regime – welcome to Spain and a whole wide world of things you simply can’t get all in one place, if at all, in the UK anymore.
We have been specialists in this area for over 20 years and it is a well-documented fact that it is one of the healthiest places in Europe to live in. Unlike many other parts of the Spanish coast, this area is quite unspoilt and offers that unique, typical friendly Spanish feel that is so endearing to people who are considering moving there. With its unique dry micro-climate it has become a haven for people who relish the constant balmy weather and recorded over 320 days of sunshine a year. Stunning empty beaches and picturesque coastline, miles of orange and lemon groves, quaint Spanish towns and a relaxed lifestyle like no other. No wonder the southern Costa Blanca is so desirable. Join one of our viewing tours and see for yourself.
Regarded by the medical profession as "Almost as perfect an environment as it is possible to obtain" with numerous cases of people's general health improving. It is a Mecca for people of all ages who suffer from Asthma, Rheumatism, Arthritis, and Heart related problems and for everyone who just feels better in a warm climate.
With the advent of a vast choice of low-cost budget airlines flying from most regional airports directly into Alicante or San Javier (Murcia) it is one of the easiest and cheapest destinations to get to. Spain also offers one of the finest road and rail networks in Europe, it is a traveller's dream destination.
The only true way of viewing this area is to go out and see for yourself. It is called the market garden of Europe and this will be self evident on your arrival. We can go on for ever about this area and the properties available but it always boils down to the same basic fact: forget brochures, go and see for yourself.
We recommend one of the best ways is to join one of our twice-weekly cost-effective and informative viewing tours.
Even in Spain nothing stands still and there are always new areas to discover – and there’s one, an hour or so to the south of Torrevieja, that we find particularly exciting.
It’s called the Costa Calida, but most people know it as La Manga. There’s a bizarre freak of nature here, an enormous virtually land-locked lagoon called the Mar Menor (meaning ‘the small sea’). On the seaward side a long narrow spit of sand gives a Manhattan skyline effect of high-rise accommodation with the benefit of beaches on both sides.
Until now this area, with the exception of the famous La Manga Club (much beloved of Superstars TV fame and the England football team) has been pretty exclusive to the Spanish themselves. However low cost flights into the existing San Javier airport, and the opening of a brand new and bigger airport, are set to blow the area wide open.
