Beaches

The beaches all along the length of the Costa Blanca are simply fabulous, so many miles in fact that if you really want to get away from it all you can literally lose yourself among the dunes.

The quality of the beaches is remarkable – the locals claim they have more miles of Blue Flag approved beaches here than any other coastline in the Med – we haven’t measured them all but we’re not going to argue!

The only thing that disrupts the expanses of sand is the odd coastal village built into the occasional headland or cove – that of course means beach bars and restaurants, so all things considered, you get the best of all worlds.

A little further to the south the beaches at La Manga are equally good. Inside the lagoon, the quiet and shallow waters are warmer than the main sea and ideal for kids and watersports alike – nowhere does the lagoon get much deeper than 3-4 metres.

All along the inner lagoon of the La Manga strip you find restaurants and bars – equally popular for lunch, a sundown drink, or for a romantic dinner looking out across the waters to the lights twinkling along the landward coast of the lagoon.
